Salamari is an American style asian inspired seafood restaurant. When developing their brand, they wanted to have an impactful logo that looked high end, and would stand out. The Salamari logo we designed, features a squid in the foreground. The squid is important as it represents Calamari, which is the inspiration behind the name of the restaurant. Behind the Squid are lines that represent the window panes of the restaurant that overlook the water, as well as the grooves of a seashell.

The color palette we developed for their brand was created to be impactful. Sea Blue is used to bring a nautical element to life. Instead of the brand living on a standard white, we used a sand backdrop to give a warm welcoming feel while still containing the idea of the beach. The subtle pops of red draw in the attention, but not only that red attracts  speeds up the body’s blood flow. When the blood flow is increased to the digestive system, it speeds up your metabolism and makes you hungry.
